Passive, 8 ohms, 3200 W (program), 18″ Speaker, bass reflex, 135 dB max. SPL (calculated), 31 Hz – 120 Hz, 4x NL4 SpeakOn. This compact, direct-radiating enclosure is loaded with a high-performance 18“ subwoofer. Remarkably efficient and able to handle a great deal of power, this unit‘s unusually expansive dynamic headroom ranges down to the lowest frequencies. Multiple subwoofers—for example, in cardioid setups—are very easy to connect via the four Speakon NL4 ports, two in back and two more up front. The C-SUB 118 may be assigned to one of these two thru busses using the Pin Assignment switch. Lab.Gruppen PLM+ and Powersoft X series high-performance power amps are recommended for use with the CS 118. Special filter sets are also available for these controller-driven amps if you wish to configure cardioid or end-fire setups. The birch multiplex housing is covered in a PU finish; the solid steel front grille has been treated with an anticorrosive and is powder-coated. Caps keep dirt and moisture out of the Speakon inputs.
